From: Office of the Superintendent
To: Members of the Sweetwater Union High School District
Penultimate paragraph:
As we consider the possibilities and look forward to the coming year, I want to encourage you to consider, once again, the magnitude of the unprecedented systemic reform effort that we have undertaken and the collaborative nature of the work we are engaged in and its impact on our students. Never in the history of our District have so many dared to imagine that we can create a new educational system while in the midst of such challenging times but I believe our District is a progressive organization which will prevail because ensuring that all students possess an invisible (sic) sense of promise is ever present in our daily practice.
At the bottom of the page:
"The Sweetwater Union High School District does not discriminate with regard to sex, sexual orientation, gender, ethnic group identification, race, ancestry, national origin, religion, color, mental disability, or physical disability, age, marital or parental status or any other unlawful consideration."

1 comment:
Sadly, the strategic plan was an "invisible promise" to all students, parents and employees of the Sweetwater District - especially to those who worked so hard to make the dream come true. A carefully wrapped package purchased at an exorbitant price to raise the superintendent's profile as a "community leader". In hindsight, the strategic plan was a hoax; the players used, abused then abandoned once his publicity stunt waned.
Can we get our money back now? Or at least exchange the empty suit for a better fit?
