President Cartmill adjourned the meeting at 9:43 p.m. to convene closed
session to discuss the closed session items as posted on the meeting
notice for this meeting.
President Cartmill called the closed session meeting to order at 9:50
p.m.
Board members present were Bertha López, Pearl Quiñones, Arlie N.
Ricasa, and Greg R. Sandoval. (Kiera Murphy, student board
representative, was excluded from the closed session meeting.)
Also attending closed session were Jesus M. Gandara, superintendent,
Rita Beyers, Dianne Russo, and Bonny Garcia, General Counsel.
President Cartmill adjourned the closed session meeting at 11:07 p.m.,
and reconvened the public session at 11:09 p.m.
Roll call was held and the following board members were present: Bertha
López, Pearl Quiñones, Arlie N. Ricasa, Greg R. Sandoval, and Kiera
Murphy, student board representative. Also present were Jesus M.
Gandara, superintendent, and Sandra Smith, clerk of the board.
President Cartmill stated that the board met in closed session preceding
this meeting to discuss the closed session items as posted on the
meeting notice for this meeting.

President Cartmill stated that the board took the following action:
Moved by Sandoval, seconded by Ricasa, to give March 15 notices re-
assigning four (4) certificated administrators to the classroom, with a
vote of four yes, one no (Quiñones).
Moved by Ricasa, seconded by López, to give March 15 notices to re-
assign one (1) certificated administrator to the classroom, with a vote
of three yes, two no (Quiñones, Sandoval).
Moved by Sandoval, seconded by Cartmill, to terminate the employment
agreements of two assistant superintendents and re-assign to principal
positions, with a vote of five yes.
8. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 11:14 p.m.

Bet these demotions would not have occurred during an "election year"! Could the board members who voted to force out what they regard as expendable older women towards the end of their careers have made secret "quid pro quo" deals with Gandara instead? Whomever can expose what these board members are - or will be - getting in exchange for their rubber stamp - will explain everything!
